Guess I’ll die.
New apartment management is charging me an extra 100 per month. They’re forcing me into a month-to-month lease plan instead of letting me renew for 6 months. This is not an isolated incident- they are forcing out the elderly, the disabled, the working class living downtown.
I’m fucking terrified right now. I’m not employed, I’m working with my therapist to get me on disability (which is a several month long process), so I have NO INCOME. I can’t just find another place to live, as much as I’d love to.Please don’t ignore this.

Is this even legal?
Unfortunately in Texas, the laws greatly favor the landlords rather than the tenants. What they’re doing is perfectly legal and has happened in multiple places around the city and around the state
