Anyone living in the path of Hurricane Harvey has my thoughts right now and will for the indefinite future. Stay smart, stay safe, keep your loved ones close.
Disaster relief will likely be a thing soon, so for those of us who are able, we should start setting at least a little aside to assist big groups like Red Cross and/or local relief organizations/structures.
Fema already has hotels set up for people displaced by the hurricane! If you haven’t already, try to make your way to safe shelter. Here in SA it isn’t so bad yet, but places like corpus and Rockport are getting pounded. Barricade your windows and doors, write identifying information on your arm in sharpie and avoid leaving home if at all possible. Make sure to check in with friends and/or family periodically to ensure your safety. Bring all pets indoors, as well as your bikes, lawnmowers, loose equipment etc. The less debris out there, the better. Be safe, think twice before leaving home and always have a backup plan.
