I love being infodumped at. I promise ur not bothering me. Ur giving me an opportunity to absorb concentrated information and that is a kindness.
my mom was always quick to coach me on how to have normal conversations— but it’s left me feeling like it’s abnormal for anyone to actually enjoy hearing about my interests for more than a sentence or two. i love trading information with people but i hate having to manage the intense shame and embarrassment that comes from realizing i’ve talked ‘too much’ or been ‘too intense’.
